What is Shakti Tantra?

Shakti Tantra is a symbolic union of male and female energies within as a meditative form, and expanding to all levels of consciousness, thereby unveiling the supreme reality of creation, is the basis of Tantra.

It unifies the masculine and feminine aspects within us, to help us transcend into the oneness of the Divine.

The principle of the Feminine is explained in Shakti Tantra as; "Ya Devi Sarva Bhuteshu, Shakti Rupena Samstita, Namastaseh, namastaseh, namastaseh, namo namaha" (Prostrations unto Thee, O Divine Mother Goddess, who dwells in all matter in the form of Shakti).

Devi Rahasyam states that Shakti is MahaKali, the great Goddess, creating the three principles or gunas: sattvas, rajas and tamas. They create the fabric of the universe.

Tantra Rahasya explains Tantra as "Tanyate vistaryate jnanam anemna iti tantram" (Tantra is the divine scripture by which the light of spiritual knowledge is spread).

Lord Shiva is considered the founder of Tantra. At its heart is the philosophy of the Upanishads.

The Agama shastras are the backbone of all rituals. Agama comprises: Jnana (knowledge); Yoga (meditation); Kriya (consecration of idols, rituals); Karya (ways of worship).

MahaKali is considered the foremost aspect of the Divine Goddess: pure energy, pure spirit. She is worshipped in any of Her 10 aspects: Kali, Tara, Shodasi, Bhuvaneshvari, Bhairavi, Chinnamasta, Dhumavati, Bagala, Matangi and Kamala.

Tantric scriptures — Kaulavalinirnaya Tantra, Niruttara Tantra and the Rudrayamala
Tantra — tell us that the universe we are a part of is Brahman: the infinite Supreme Consciousness, manifest through the cosmic union of male and female energies of Shiva, Eternal Consciousness, and Shakti, feminine energy.

Thus Tantra unites all of reality, when everything attained on the physical level also crosses into the spiritual level, as integral to each other.

Life of a Tantric Sadhak
A sadhak, or person performing tantric acts, lives a simple life, practices yoga and meditates in the quiet of the countryside, far away from the madding crowd. He is distinguished by his saffron robe and begging bowl, or in some cases he might go stark naked! He sells charms, amulets, 'magical' medicines and herbs. He sometimes gathers together with other sadhus to form vast processions during religious festivals. So much for the brighter side of a tantric. The darker half involves taking drugs, inflicting austerities upon himself, or doing certain things that outrage morality.

Tantrik Prayog (Black Magic): Major Causes
Whenever you face such situations, feel assured that someone has used Black Magic on you, as a result of which all your efforts become ineffective.
Though such prayog is not easy, but some Tantriks expertise in it and torture innocent souls at the behest of selfish and greedy people. Such Tantriks have made Black Magic their profession, and use it on others indiscriminately at the behest of their adversaries, to mint money. Thus the happy life of the people is spoiled.
Such so-called Black-Magicians, no doubt can harm others, but they do not possess the powers to counter such Tantrik moves. As a result the victim keeps on suffering and sometimes it leads to the death of the victim. It is in fact very easy to cause harm through Tantra, but very difficult to amend the damage done. In order to learn the art of saving, one has to undergo Sadhna and Siddhi, and only a Tantrik of high caliber can do so.
